Big Security in a Small Appliance

Perfect as a stand-alone firewall solution or as a VPN gateway for centralized traffic inspection, Firebox T20 is a small appliance that brings big security to small and home office environments.
It's no secret that attackers go for the weakest link when trying to get into a corporate network, and this is often a home office or small office user. Firebox T20 gives you a powerful tool for administering and enforcing policy across your extended network, allowing you to bring full UTM protection to remote workers and smaller sites for tighter security.

Network
Wi-Fi Popular technology that allows an electronic device to exchange data or connect to the internet wirelessly using radio waves.
Wi-Fi standards The type of wireless local area network (LAN). It can be ad-hoc, where units in a network communicate peer-to-peer, or Infrastructure, where units communicate with each other via an access point A LAN interconnects computers in a small area e.g. home, school or office. Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac)
Networking standards The way in which the network is working, e.g. IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g. IEEE 802.1Q, IEEE 802.3ad

DHCP server A server is a system which that responds to requests across a computer network to provide, or help to provide, a network service. DCHP servers uses the DCHP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), which is a standardized networking protocol used by servers on an IP network to allocate IP addresses to computers. The purpose of DHCP is to automate the IP address configuration of a computer without a network administrator. IP addresses are typically selected from a range of assigned IP addresses stored in a database on the server and issued to a computer which requests a new IP address. An IP address is assigned to a computer for a set interval, after which, the computer must renew the IP address or acquire a new one.
DHCP client Whether the product features a DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) to obtain IP addresses within a network.
Quality of Service (QoS) support
Point-to-point protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) The Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) is a network protocol for encapsulating PPP frames inside Ethernet frames. It appeared in 1999, in the context of the boom of DSL as the solution for tunneling packets over the DSL connection to the ISP's IP network, and from there to the rest of the Internet. A 2005 networking book noted that "Most DSL providers use PPPoE, which provides authentication, encryption, and compression." Typical use of PPPoE involves leveraging the PPP facilities for authenticating the user with a username and password, predominately via the PAP protocol and less often via CHAP.
Security
Security algorithms Security algorithms are used to provide authentication, cipher key generation, integrity and radio link privacy to users on mobile networks. The security algorithms supported are the ones that can be used with this product. HTTPS, TLS
DDoS protection
Firewall security Part of a computer system or network which is designed to block unauthorized access while permitting outward communication. DoS attacks, fragmented & malformed packets, blended threats

Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports Number of Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports (connecting interfaces) in the device. Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports allow a computer to connect to the ethernet. 5
Ethernet LAN data rates The different speed levels of the Ethernet LAN connection. 10,100,1000 Mbit/s
Serial ports quantity The number of serial ports in a computer or peripheral. A serial port is a serial communication physical interface through which information transfers in or out one bit at a time. The term "serial port" usually identifies hardware more or less compliant to the RS-232 standard, intended to interface with a modem or with a similar communication device. In modern computers and peripherals, serial ports have largely been replaced by USBs and other interfaces. 1
Power
AC input voltage The voltage of the AC electricity that is inputted into the product. 100-240 V
