Networking is the process of connecting multiple electronic devices together.

In the home environment, networking usually consists of a modem to receive an internet connection, and is then distributed via a router or wireless to the computers, laptops and TV within the home.

Put simply, wired connections always offer a faster, more reliable connection than wireless solutions. Of course, wired networks can be less practical in some situations.
