The right mouse pad will increase your control and daily comfort using your computer.
Gamers have a myriad of options to choose from. There are cloth pads that vary from "rough" to "smoothe" textures. There are also "hard" mousepads that are usually made from a plastic-like compound called polystyrene.
If you're considering a gaming mouse pad for the first time, it's probably best to get a crowd favourite mousepad like the Corsair MM300/MM350 range. We like these because they have a nice medium texture, not too smooth or course. They've also got stitched edges so they'll last a fair while. Additonally, they are grippy underneath so they don't move around the desk too much.
As a rule of thumb, obtain the biggest mousepad you can comfortably fit on your desk. It's advantageous because you can control your mouse better (i.e. drawing a big line in a photo editor, or doing a 180-degree movement in a game).
As with all ergonomic devices, it's 100% personal preference. Why not come into one of our 4 Sydney locations and try them out?
