What This Product Does
Omada Pro S6500-24MPP4Y is a high-performance L3 managed PoE++ switch tailored for the access layer, featuring L3 routing, fast 25 Gbps wired speeds, stacking options, and redundant power supply modules. It boasts a 1440W PoE budget,* 24 2.5 Gbps RJ45 PoE++ ports, 4 25 Gbps SFP28 slots, physical stacking ability, and centralized management. Integrated with strong security, easy O&A, and extensive management features, S6500-24MPP4Y offers a dependable networking solution for enterprises, campus, and ISPs.
IEEE 802.3bt/at/af-compliant Power over Ethernet
24 IEEE 802.3bt/at/af-compliant PoE ports supply up to 1440W total power to 802.3bt, 802.3at, and 802.3af devices,* with each port supplying up to 60 W power. Set up wireless access points, surveillance cameras, IP phones, and other PoE devices quickly and easily, without the hassle and cost of installing power cabling. Perpetual PoE ensures an uninterrupted power supply to connected devices even during switch reboots. Additionally, the switch retains PoE power settings across reboots, thanks to fast PoE functionality.
High-speed Connectivity and Powerful Stacking
24 2.5 Gbps RJ45 ports and 4 25 Gbps SFP28 slots provide up to 320 Gbps switching capacity per unit. Physical stacking of up to 12 units? enhances network performance and redundancy.
Abundant Layer 3 Capabilities
Comes with abundant Layer 3 routing protocols that support a scalable network, such as OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, VRRP, PIM-SM/PIM-DM/PIM-SSM, ECMP, and PBR. In complex large-scale network environments, dynamic routing protocols automatically adapt to changes in network topology and select the best transmission path based on real-time network conditions to maintain stability.
Comprehensive Security Functions
Defend against a range of network threats with MACsec, Secure Boot, RADSEC, IMPB, SFTP, and 802.1X. MACsec works with the 802.1X protocol to ensure secure communication of all traffic on Ethernet links. Secure Boot protects the operating system from malicious attacks.
Highly Available
Two field-replaceable redundant power supplies** and VRRP make it an ideal choice for reliable networking architecture. ERPS supports rapid protection and recovery in a ring topology, while BFD enables sub-second failure detection for rapid routing protocol rebalancing.
Easy Operation and Maintenance
The switch can be configured and managed based on the NETCONF protocol, reducing manual configuration errors and improving software upgrade efficiency. Configuration Rollback restores previous settings if errors occur. Hot patching technology allows software defects to be fixed without device restart, preventing business interruptions.
Omada Pro Integration
Integration into the Omada Pro system brings centralized cloud management and a series of management features, such as Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and Intelligent Anomaly Detection. Omada Pro
