The QVR Pro Appliance is a SMB-grade; tower-based network surveillance server that supports high quality real-time video/audio monitoring, megapixel recording, and playback from multiple IP cameras to safeguard your precious property and assets.

PC-less network surveillance by full HD local display via HDMI connector
Even without a PC, QVR Pro Appliance can be configured and perform monitoring tasks with the local display technology by connecting a USB mouse, USB keyboard and HDMI monitor to deliver lag-free live video monitoring in Full HD (1920x1080) resolution. QNAP local display technology provides a straightforward way to reduce the total costs in your business environment.

Fully unleash the potential of fisheye cameras
QVR Pro Appliance supports all of the standard fisheye cameras available on the market, and features Qdewarp technology that converts distorted parts of the original images into proportional ratios. QVR Pro Appliance also provides industry-leading functions, including allowing a single fisheye camera's image to be simultaneously viewed in nine channels from different angles and cross-platform hardware-accelerated decoding for fisheye camera images. QVR Pro Appliance ensures higher surveillance performance for greater security while providing deployment flexibility.

Motion detection in budget-friendly cameras - including USB webcams!
In the past, QVR Pro only provided event recording and event notifications for expensive cameras with integrated motion detection. QVR Pro Appliance now provides motion detection even for budget-friendly cameras and USB webcams as long as they can stream their footage to QVR Pro (e.g. through RTSP protocol). QVR Pro allows you to build a more-secure surveillance system for homes and office environments on an affordable budget.

What's the difference between QVR Pro Appliance and other NAS-based surveillance systems?
In the past, surveillance applications were just one of the many applications on NAS. There was no dedicated storage for surveillance recordings and usually the system performance was limited, making it unsuitable to fulfill the requirements of professional surveillance systems. QVR Pro Appliance, introduces the concept of "dedicated storage space" to ensure that the storage is fully reserved for the system performance will not be impacted by other applications on NAS. QVR Pro Appliance default bundles camera license, so it can be local installation without Internet, all essential applications already embedded in the Appliance machine.

Powerful camera management and support
QVR Pro Appliance supports thousands of camera models from over 150 brands and a variety of image formats, allowing you to quickly build different surveillance solutions tailored to your environments while providing convenient camera management.

QVR Pro Client: live view and playback
The QVR Pro Client software can be installed on Windows and Mac devices or in QNAP's HD Station on NAS, allowing you to monitor from different platforms and flexibly switch from live view or playback mode to take full control over the monitored area.

Instant Playback
Monitor the live view of multiple channels and play recordings on a single interface. With just one click you can switch between live, individual playback and sync playback modes. You can also view recordings at a specific time by clicking the time line or by selecting a time range.

Dynamic Layout
The QVR Pro Client provides a highly-customizable display panel. You can change each channel's display ratio, arrange the display, or use the built-in display module to fulfill your surveillance needs.

Region of Interest
The updated Region of Interest (ROI) feature supports multiple regional images from the same camera in live view and playback mode. You can define and enlarge multiple areas on the overview image with no selection limitations or additional licenses required.

Qdewarp Technology
The innovative Qdewarp enables users to view standard fisheye camera recordings in proportional ratios and sizes without affecting original recordings. The distorted parts on the edges can be turned into a clear panoramic view.

E-map
If an event occurs, you can quickly know the camera's location on the e-map to ensure a timely response.

Multiple Notification Methods
The event notification provides multiple ways of being informed of emerging events, including flashing red borders of channels, alert buzzers, and the motion icon on the e-map.

Performance Improvements
With advanced video indexing technology, you can have up to ten-times faster playback speeds than the previous version and up to five-times faster exporting of surveillance recordings.

Monitor at anytime anywhere with the QVR Pro Client mobile app
The QVR Pro Client mobile app provides multiple display layouts and allows you to monitor multiple channels simultaneously. Under single channel view, you can quickly switch between live and playback modes. If your network connection is slow or metered/capped, you can choose the low-bandwidth mode to view a bandwidth-optimized stream without affecting the quality of recordings. In addition, you can remotely control PTZ cameras and the camera's preset point from the app. Other features include camera view from the e-map and mobile notifications.

Snapshot
DHCP server A server is a system which that responds to requests across a computer network to provide, or help to provide, a network service. DCHP servers uses the DCHP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), which is a standardized networking protocol used by servers on an IP network to allocate IP addresses to computers. The purpose of DHCP is to automate the IP address configuration of a computer without a network administrator. IP addresses are typically selected from a range of assigned IP addresses stored in a database on the server and issued to a computer which requests a new IP address. An IP address is assigned to a computer for a set interval, after which, the computer must renew the IP address or acquire a new one.
Number of fans The quantity of fans (apparatus with rotating blades that creates a current of air for cooling or ventilation). 1 fan(s)
Wireless LAN features
Wi-Fi Popular technology that allows an electronic device to exchange data or connect to the internet wirelessly using radio waves.
Storage
Number of HDDs supported The total number of hard drives that can be used in/with this product. 2
RAID levels RAID is a storage technology that combines multiple disk drive components into a logical unit for the purposes of data redundancy and performance improvement. Data is distributed across the drives in one of several ways, referred to as RAID levels, depending on the specific level of redundancy and performance required. 0,1,5,6,10

HDMI ports quantity The number of sockets (ports) for HDMI connections. HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a compact audio/video interface for transferring uncompressed video data and compressed/uncompressed digital audio data from a HDMI-compliant device ("the source device") to a compatible computer monitor, video projector, digital television, or digital audio device. HDMI is a digital replacement for existing analog video standards. 1
