Panasonic PT-VMZ61 Laser Projector
The PT-VMZ61 from Panasonic is the evolution of the already successful VMZ60. It retains the small chassis perfect for portable use and for an unobtrusive finish when installed. Although it weighs in at a mere 6.9kg it pumps out a massive 6200 ANSI lumens making it a prime candidate for bright rooms or large venue use. It comes with both lens shift and keystone correction so can be installed off centre quite easily. With a Digital link receiver inbuilt it can be used with HDBaseT transmitters for long distance installations making long cabling runs simple with cheap Cat6 cable. With a 360 degree installation flexibility it can be used for edgy portrait projection and can even shine down onto the floor for advertising or signage.
Vivid Images in Bright Environments
SOLID SHINE Laser phosphor drive with advanced LCD optical engine projects bright vivid and detailed images regardless of artificial light levels in the room. Text is finely resolved while graphics and video retain high color saturation and contrast for immersive viewing.
High Brightness from a Compact Body
Deploy up to 6000 lm of brightness from a projector weighing just 7.2 kg 15.87 lbs currently the smallest and lightest LCD laser projector series in the world1. High brilliance makes pictures pop even under the glare of interior lights making projection more engaging than ever.
High Contrast
High-precision digital laser light output modulation achieves 3000000:1 dynamic contrast while minimizing power consumption. High-contrast performance adds depth dimensionality and realism to video defining details in shadows even when bright and dark scenes frequently interchange.

| Smart projector |
|
| Screen size compatibility The different screen sizes which the device can work with. | 762 - 7620 mm (30 - 300") |
| Projector brightness | 6200 ANSI lumens |
| Projection technology | LCD |
| Projector native resolution | WUXGA (1920x1200) |
| Contrast ratio (typical) The difference in light intensity between the brightest white and the darkest black. | 3000000:1 |
| Native aspect ratio The aspect ratio is the ratio of the width of an image to its height. The native aspect ratio is the one which the projector/display is particularly designed for. Images shown in native aspect ratio will utilize the entire resolution of the display and achieve maximum brightness. Images shown in other than native aspect ratio will always have less resolution and less brightness than images shown in native aspect ratio. | 16:10 |
| Light source | |
| Light source type | Laser |
| Service life of light source | 20000 h |
| Lens system | |
| Focus | Manual |
| Focal length range Measure of how strongly the system converges or diverges light. For an optical system in air, it is the distance over which initially collimated rays are brought to a focus. A system with a shorter focal length has greater optical power than one with a long focal length; that is, it bends the rays more strongly, bringing them to a focus in a shorter distance. For an optical system in air, the effective focal length (f and f′) gives the distance from the front and rear principal planes (H and H′) to the corresponding focal points (F and F′). | 15.3 - 24.64 mm |
| Aperture range (F-F) Aperture range of the device's optics, expressed in f-stops. | 1.6 - 2.12 |
| Zoom capability The amount that the camera lens can zoom. |
|
| Zoom ratio Measures how much the camera can adjust its focus for distance shots. A 3x zoom ratio changes the camera's focal length by a factor of three, from 35 mm to 105 mm for example. | 1.6:1 |
| Throw ratio | 1.09 - 1.77:1 |
| Horizontal lens shift range | -20 - 20% |
| Vertical lens shift range | 0 - 44% |
| Video | |
| Full HD Full High Definition (HD) means that a display supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel, and has a digital TV connection. |
|
| 3D The device can be used with 3D technology. |
|
| Ports & interfaces | |
| USB 2.0 ports quantity Number of USB 2.0 ports (connecting interfaces) in the device. USB 2.0 was released in April 2000 (now called "Hi-Speed"), adding higher maximum signaling rate of 480 Mbit/s (effective throughput up to 35 MB/s or 280 Mbit/s), USB 2.0 ports are usually black. | 1 |
| Audio (L/R) in The two sockets (ports) for receiving left audio signal (white cable) and right audio signal (red cable). | 2 |
| Audio (L/R) out The two sockets (ports) for transmitting left audio signal (white cable) and right audio signal (red cable). | 1 |
| Serial interface type | RS-232C |
| VGA (D-Sub) ports quantity Number of VGA (D-Sub) ports (connecting interfaces) in the device. The VGA (D-Sub) connector is a 15 pin connector between a computer and a monitor. It was first introduced in 1987 by IBM. | 2 |
| HDMI ports quantity The number of sockets (ports) for HDMI connections. HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a compact audio/video interface for transferring uncompressed video data and compressed/uncompressed digital audio data from a HDMI-compliant device ("the source device") to a compatible computer monitor, video projector, digital television, or digital audio device. HDMI is a digital replacement for existing analog video standards. | 2 |
