The AW-UE20 has a newly-designed and compact body, which makes it very easy to handle and to install in any kind of setting, especially when positioning the camera on trusses, ceilings or wall mounts for class rooms and meetings rooms.
The AW-UE20 has been designed to support the following markets:
- Live streaming events
- Higher education
- Corporate installs
Single-cable solution
The AW-UE20 also offers PoE+ support for camera power, control and video transmission over a single cable.
Online Video Content support
When using the PTZ Virtual USB driver software and using a LAN connection, it is possible to obtain video and audio from the AW-UE20 in the same way you would an USB camera. This also ensures connectivity with video platforms including Panopto.
Upgraded 4K sensor
The AW-UE20 features a new 1/2.8-type 4K MOS sensor that produces stunning UHD video. The UE20 supports 3G SDI, HDMI and IP which makes it an ideal option for using within existing HD or 4K workflows thanks to its simultaneous video output feature.
Wide-Angle Lens
The AW-UE20 introduces a new wide-angle lens with a 71Deg field of view and a 12x optical zoom, enabling a wide area to be shot from a limited installation space. This allows shooting in meeting rooms and huddle spaces.
4K & HD Analogue Outputs
The AW-UE20 supports up to 4K 30p/25p video at 3840 x 2160 to provide professional and high-quality shooting of moving images, as well as a wide variety of output interfaces such as 3G-SDI, HDMI, and IP

| Camera | |
| Camera type There are a number of common types of digital cameras: compact cameras, bridge cameras, mirrorless interchangeable-lens cameras (MILC) and single lens reflex (SLR) cameras. Bridge cameras 'bridge the gap' between the low-end compact and high-end professional (SLR) cameras. Also MILCs populate this mid-segment by combining the larger sensors and interchangeable lenses of DSLRs with the live-preview viewing system of compact cameras. | Single camera |
| Megapixel (approx.) The number (in millions) of light-sensitive picture elements known as pixels actually used by the camera's image sensor (CCD) to record light, and which are reflected to the final number of recorded pixels stored on the memory card. | 8.46 MP |
| Sensor type A sensor is a convertor than measures a physical quality (light, temperature etc.) and displays this electronically on a device. | MOS |
| Optical sensor size Optical sensors are electronic detectors that convert light, or a change in light, into an electronic signal. They are used in many industrial and consumer applications e.g. lamps that turn on automatically in response to darkness. Optical sensors come in many sizes. | 25.4 / 2.8 mm (1 / 2.8") |
| Zoom capability The amount that the camera lens can zoom. |
|
| Optical zoom Indicates the optical zoom capacity, which is the number of times that the picture can be enlarged with the optics of the camera. | 12x |
| Digital zoom Indicates the digital zoom capacity, the number of times that the picture is enlarged thanks to digital technology. | 4x |
| Focal length range Measure of how strongly the system converges or diverges light. For an optical system in air, it is the distance over which initially collimated rays are brought to a focus. A system with a shorter focal length has greater optical power than one with a long focal length; that is, it bends the rays more strongly, bringing them to a focus in a shorter distance. For an optical system in air, the effective focal length (f and f′) gives the distance from the front and rear principal planes (H and H′) to the corresponding focal points (F and F′). | 3.9 - 46.8 mm |
| Horizontal field of view (wide) | 71° |
| Horizontal field of view (tele) | 6° |
| Vertical field of view (wide) | 43° |
| Vertical field of view (tele) | 3° |
| Focus adjustment | Auto/Manual |
| Auto focusing (AF) modes Modes on the camera for auto-focusing, including continuous focusing and one shop focusing. | Auto, Manual |
| Number of camera presets | 100 |
| Gain control type | Auto |
| PTZ control |
|
| Video | |
| HD type Type of supported High Definition (e.g. Full HD, 4K Ultra HD). | 4K Ultra HD |
| Maximum video resolution This is the maximum resolution of video images. Resolution is a measure of the degree of detail visible. | 3840 x 2160 pixels |
| Maximum frame rate This is the maximum frame rate, also known as frame frequency and frames per second (FPS). It is the frequency (rate) at which an imaging device produces unique consecutive images called frames. The term applies equally well to film and video cameras, computer graphics, and motion capture systems. Frame rate is most often expressed in frames per second (FPS) and is also expressed in progressive scan monitors as hertz (Hz). | 60 fps |
| Supported video modes The video modes that can be displayed by the device. | 720p, 1080i, 1080p |
| Video formats supported The type of video formats that can be used by this device. | H.264, H.265, M-JPEG |
| Supported graphics resolutions The graphic resolutions that can be displayed by the device. The graphic resolution describes the width and height dimensions of a display, such as a computer monitor, measured in pixels. | 640 x 360, 1280 x 720 (HD 720), 1920 x 1080 (HD 1080), 3840 x 2160 |
| Design | |
| Product colour The colour e.g. red, blue, green, black, white. | Black |
| Mounting type Type of mounting e.g. wall mounting. | Table/Ceiling |
| Image stabilizer This camera function compensates for slight shaking movements caused by an unstable position and ensures smooth footage even in suboptimal conditions. |
|
