Netcomm NTC-400 4g LTE Cat6 Industrial M2M Router with Dual SIM Failover and Dual Band WiFi
The NetComm 4G LTE Cat 6 Industrial IoT Router with Dual
Band WiFi (NTC-400) creates high speed and reliable data
connectivity where fixed line connections are either unavailable or
not suitable for the application. The NTC-400 creates high speed
dual band WiFi hotspots in public transport, streams HD video
from multiple surveillance cameras simultaneously, tracks vehicles
using GPS, and supports countless other bandwidth-intensive IIoT
applications in real time.
IMPROVED CONNECTIVITY
The NTC-400 supports 4G LTE Cat 6 to deliver the highest
speed possible. External antennas with high gain reception
make the device ideal for installation at the fringe of the
network. The high-speed dual band WiFi and integrated hotspot
functionality allow the NTC-400 to provide public Internet access
when necessary.
CONFIGURABLE POWER MANAGEMENT SCHEME
Ignition sensing interface and timer-based activation are ideal
for vehicular and power constrained environments, allowing the
NTC-400 to wake up only when needed, complete the required
process and return to low power sleep mode.
REMOTE MANAGEMENT
Supporting industry leading protocols, the NTC-400 is easy
to integrate into the existing remote management platform.
A built-in event notification, remote configuration and
troubleshooting via SMS makes it faster and easier to manage
a large fleet of devices.
ENHANCED RELIABILITY
To endure harsh industrial and automotive environments, the
NTC-400 features a robust enclosure made from steel and
extruded aluminium. Electrical components have been carefully
selected to allow the device to operate at extreme temperatures
for many years without fail.

| Auto MDI/MDI-X A Medium Dependent Interface (MDI) describes the interface (both physical and electrical) in a computer network from a physical layer implementation to the physical medium used to carry the transmission. Ethernet over twisted pair also defines a medium dependent interface crossover (MDIX) interface. Auto-MDIX ports on newer network interfaces detect if the connection would require a crossover, and automatically chooses the MDI or MDIX configuration to properly match the other end of the link. |

| 3G Third generation of mobile telecommunications technology, 3G finds application in wireless voice telephony, mobile Internet access, fixed wireless Internet access, video calls and mobile TV. |
|
| 4G Fourth generation of mobile phone mobile communication technology standards. A 4G system provides mobile ultra-broadband Internet access, for example to laptops with USB wireless modems, to smartphones, and to other mobile devices. Conceivable applications include amended mobile web access, IP telephony, gaming services, high-definition mobile TV, video conferencing, 3D television, and cloud computing. |

| DHCP client Whether the product features a DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) to obtain IP addresses within a network. |
|
| DHCP server A server is a system which that responds to requests across a computer network to provide, or help to provide, a network service. DCHP servers uses the DCHP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), which is a standardized networking protocol used by servers on an IP network to allocate IP addresses to computers. The purpose of DHCP is to automate the IP address configuration of a computer without a network administrator. IP addresses are typically selected from a range of assigned IP addresses stored in a database on the server and issued to a computer which requests a new IP address. An IP address is assigned to a computer for a set interval, after which, the computer must renew the IP address or acquire a new one. |

| Security algorithms Security algorithms are used to provide authentication, cipher key generation, integrity and radio link privacy to users on mobile networks. The security algorithms supported are the ones that can be used with this product. | WPS-PIN |
| MAC address filtering Security access control method whereby the 48-bit address assigned to each network card is used to determine access to the network. MAC addresses are uniquely assigned to each card, so using MAC filtering on a network permits and denies network access to specific devices through the use of blacklists and whitelists. |

|
| Processor frequency The clock rate is the fundamental rate in cycles per second (measured in hertz) at which a computer performs its most basic operations such as adding two numbers. There are more factors, like internal memory size, that influence a computer's actual response time. | 720 MHz |
| Internal memory type The type of internal memory such as RAM, GDDR5. | DDR2 |
| RoHS compliance The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive aims to restrict certain dangerous substances commonly used in electrical and electronic equipment. Any RoHS compliant product is tested for the presence of Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), Hexavalent chromium (Hex-Cr), Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). PBB and PBDE are flame retardants used in several plastics. For Cadmium and Hexavalent chromium, there must be less than 0.01% of the substance by weight at raw homogeneous materials level. For Lead, PBB, and PBDE, there must be no more than 0.1% of the material, when calculated by weight at raw homogeneous materials. Any RoHS compliant component must have 100 ppm or less of mercury and the mercury must not have been intentionally added to the component. In the EU, some military and medical equipment are exempt from RoHS compliance. |
