Mikrotik CSS610-8P-2S+IN, Managed, Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000), Power over Ethernet (PoE), Rack mounting
CSS610-8P-2S+IN is one of the most well-rounded switches on the market. It is a perfect fit for the most diverse setups: from home networks and small offices to hotels, call centers and so on. The unique combination of size, features, and price offers unbelievable scalability potential.
There are two SFP+ ports for 10 Gigabit fiber connectivity and eight Gigabit Ethernet ports with 802.3af/at PoE-out.
This switch is all about nice and easy setups. The compact form-factor means easier shipping and handling, while the lightweight SwOS means easier configuration. You can even configure this switch from your web browser It gives you all the core functionality of a managed switch, and even more: you can manage port-to-port forwarding, broadcast storm control, apply MAC filters, configure VLANs, mirror traffic, apply bandwidth limitations, and even adjust some MAC and IP header fields.
But the real blessing is the combination of SFP+ and PoE-out Ethernet ports. With this setup, you can do all kinds of things on a tight budget. CSS610 has an impressive total PoE-out budget of 140 W, so you can use even in the most intense scenarios

| Management features | |
| Switch type What switch device has, managed or unmanaged. | Managed |
| Ports & interfaces | |
| Basic switching RJ-45 Ethernet ports quantity The number of basic switching RJ-45 Ethernet ports (sockets). | 8 |
| Basic switching RJ-45 Ethernet ports type The type/category of basic switching RJ-45 Ethernet ports (sockets). | Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) |
| Installed SFP+ modules quantity An SFP ("small form-factor pluggable transceiver") is a transmitter/receiver which interfaces a network device motherboard (e.g. in a switch, router) to a fibre optic or copper network cable. The enhanced small form-factor pluggable (SFP+) is an enhanced version of the SFP that supports data rates up to 10 Gbit/s. The "SFP+ ports quantity" is the number of ports for SFP+ connections in a device. | 2 |
| Network | |
| Networking standards The way in which the network is working, e.g. IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g. | IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at |
| 10G support The product can use Oracle 10G, which is a database management system introduced in 2003. |
|
| Broadcast storm control |
|
| VLAN support A Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) consists of a group of computers and switches that can be physically distributed over different networks and buildings, but form one LAN on a logical level. |
|
| Data transmission | |
| Switching capacity The data transfer capacity of the switch per second. | 56 Gbit/s |
| Security | |
| MAC address filtering Security access control method whereby the 48-bit address assigned to each network card is used to determine access to the network. MAC addresses are uniquely assigned to each card, so using MAC filtering on a network permits and denies network access to specific devices through the use of blacklists and whitelists. |
|
| Design | |
| Rack mounting The type of mounting that can position devices in a shelving system (rack). |
|
| Product colour The colour e.g. red, blue, green, black, white. | White |
| Reset button |
|
| LED indicators |
|
| International Protection (IP) code The IP code classifies and rates the degree of protection provided against the intrusion (including body parts such as hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact, and water by mechanical casings and electrical enclosures. It is published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The digits (characteristic numerals) indicate conformity with the conditions summarized in the tables below. Where there is no protection rating with regard to one of the criteria, the digit is replaced with the letter X. an electrical socket rated IP22 is protected against insertion of fingers and will not be damaged or become unsafe during a specified test in which it is exposed to vertically or nearly vertically dripping water. Another example is the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, one of the first cellular phones to be IP-rated; it is rated at IP58 and marketed as "dust resistant" and can be "immersed in 1.5 meter of freshwater for up to 30 minutes". | IP20 |
| Performance | |
| Operating system installed Type of operating system on a device e.g. IOS on Apple devices, Android for mobile devices. | SwitchOS Lite |
| Processor model The model number for the processor in a computer. | Marvell 88E6193X |
| Flash memory | 0.064 MB |
| Fanless |
|
| Mean time between failures (MTBF) Statistical model used to indicate product/mechanism reliability; expressed in hours and percentage of duty cycle. This number (in hours) does not indicate the mean time before failure for a single unit/mechanism. | 200000 h |
| Power | |
| Power source What is providing power for the product e.g. mains electricity. | AC/DC |
| Power supply included There is a power supply with this product. |
|
| AC input voltage The voltage of the AC electricity that is inputted into the product. | 100 - 240 V |
| AC input frequency | 50 - 60 Hz |
| DC input voltage | 48 - 57 V |
| Input current | 2.2 A |
| Power consumption (max) The maximum amount of power used by the device. | 162 W |
| Power over Ethernet (PoE) | |
| Power over Ethernet (PoE) The device supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), which is one of several standardized or ad-hoc systems which pass electrical power along with data on Ethernet cabling. This allows a single cable to provide both data connection and electrical power to devices such as wireless access points or IP cameras. |
|
| Power over Ethernet (PoE) type supported | Passive PoE |
| Power over Ethernet (PoE) ports quantity | 8 |
