At 30 frames per second video playback is seamless. Recording live images and video at Full HD 1080p resolution in any task has never been so ultra-smooth and astonishing.

Auto-select resolution
Connect the ELP-DC21 to an Epson projector, and it automatically detects the projector's native resolution, whether it's XGA, WXGA, 720p or 1080p and optimises output to suit. One touch auto-focus and an easy to understand control panel make the ELP-DC21 a flexible teaching tool for a more interactive learning experience that will engage students.

Powerful tool for any user
The mechanical body structure allows the camera to rotate 90 degrees vertically and horizontally so it can also be used as a webcam to capture classroom activities or for videoconferencing. Capture, store and present images with an SD card or computer.

Optical sensor size Optical sensors are electronic detectors that convert light, or a change in light, into an electronic signal. They are used in many industrial and consumer applications e.g. lamps that turn on automatically in response to darkness. Optical sensors come in many sizes. 25.4 / 2.7 mm (1 / 2.7")
Sensor type A sensor is a convertor than measures a physical quality (light, temperature etc.) and displays this electronically on a device. CMOS
Supported graphics resolutions The graphic resolutions that can be displayed by the device. The graphic resolution describes the width and height dimensions of a display, such as a computer monitor, measured in pixels. 1920 x 1080 (HD 1080)
Maximum frame rate This is the maximum frame rate, also known as frame frequency and frames per second (FPS). It is the frequency (rate) at which an imaging device produces unique consecutive images called frames. The term applies equally well to film and video cameras, computer graphics, and motion capture systems. Frame rate is most often expressed in frames per second (FPS) and is also expressed in progressive scan monitors as hertz (Hz). 30 fps
White balance Technique in photography and image processing, which involves a global adjustment of the intensities of the colors (typically red, green, and blue primary colors). An important goal of this adjustment is to render specific colors – particularly neutral colors including white – correctly. Auto
Light exposure modes The different lengths of time for the exposure for a camera e.g. longer exposure for low light. Auto
Image freeze The image taken by a camera is frozen, so that there is no blurring if the subject(s) of the photo are moving.
Light source LED
Lens system
Auto focus Device focusing a camera or other piece of equipment automatically.
Digital zoom Indicates the digital zoom capacity, the number of times that the picture is enlarged thanks to digital technology. 10x
Shooting area (WxD) 297 x 526 mm
Optical zoom Indicates the optical zoom capacity, which is the number of times that the picture can be enlarged with the optics of the camera. 12x
Ports & interfaces
Interface Interface ports to connect pieces of equipment. USB (Universal Serial Bus) has become the most popular wired interface to connect peripherals. USB 2.0 supports speeds up to 480 Mbit/s (USB 1: 12 Mbit/s). The interface FireWire is also known as the IEEE 1394 standard. Enhanced IDE (EIDE)is sometimes referred to as Fast ATA, Fast IDE or ATA-2. USB 1.1
VGA (D-Sub) input ports Sockets in the device for VGA (D-Sub) inputs, which are sockets with 15 holes. The 15-pin VGA connector is found on many video cards, computer monitors, and high definition television sets. 1
VGA (D-Sub) output ports 1
DC-in jack The socket/plug where the DC electricity supply connects to the device.
