Cisco SFP-10G-BXU-I=, Fiber optic, 10000 Mbit/s, SFP+, LC, 9/125 μm, BX
The Cisco SFP-10G-BXD-I and SFP-10G-BXU-I SFPs operate on a single strand of standard SMF.

A SFP-10G-BXD-I device is always connected to a SFP-10G-BXU-I device with a single strand of standard SMF with an operating transmission range up to 10 km.

The communication over a single strand of fiber is achieved by separating the transmission wavelength of the two devices. SFP-10G-BXD-I transmits a 1330-nm channel and receives a 1270-nm signal, whereas SFP-10G-BXU-I transmits at a 1270-nm wavelength and receives a 1330-nm signal. The presence of a wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) splitter integrated into the SFP to split the 1270-nm and 1330-nm light paths.
Performance
SFP transceiver type Fiber optic
Maximum data transfer rate The maximum speed with which data can be transmitted from one device to another. 10000 Mbit/s
Interface type SFP+
Single-mode fiber (SMF) supported
Fiber optic connector This terminates the end of an optical fiber, and enables quicker connection and disconnection than splicing. The connectors mechanically couple and align the cores of fibers so light can pass. Better connectors lose very little light due to reflection or misalignment of the fibers. In all there have been about 100 types of optic fiber connectors produced. LC
Fiber cable diameters supported (core/cladding) 9/125 µm
SFP transceiver standard BX
Maximum transfer distance The greatest distance over which the data/signal can be transferred. 10000 m
Wavelength The distance over which a wave repeats itself. The wavelength determines the characteristics of the wave e.g. red light has a different wavelength to blue light. 1270 nm
Networking standards The way in which the network is working, e.g. IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g. IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3ab, IEEE 802.3ae, IEEE 802.3u
Cabling technology Type of cable technology performance. 10GBASE-BXU
Auto MDI/MDI-X A Medium Dependent Interface (MDI) describes the interface (both physical and electrical) in a computer network from a physical layer implementation to the physical medium used to carry the transmission. Ethernet over twisted pair also defines a medium dependent interface crossover (MDIX) interface. Auto-MDIX ports on newer network interfaces detect if the connection would require a crossover, and automatically chooses the MDI or MDIX configuration to properly match the other end of the link.
Features
Hot-Plug support Device has hot-plug capability, which means that user can replace system components without shutting down the system.
