Axis Q1798-LE, IP security camera, Outdoor, Wired, EN 55032 A, EN 50121-4, IEC 62236-4, EN 55024, EN 61000-6-1, EN 61000-6-2, FCC 15 B A, ICES-003 A,..., Bullet, Ceiling/wall
AxIS Q1798-LE combines superior 4K resolution with ultra-high light sensitivity for large-scale surveillance. Including Lightfinder 2.0, it captures outstanding forensic images in low light scenes. Plus, Axis Zipstream enhanced with H.264 and H.265 dramatically lowers bandwidth and storage requirements.
The best of the best
AxIS Q1798-LE includes a powerful, ultra-high light-sensitive 4/3" image sensor that offers 10 MP resolution at up to 20 fps and 4K resolution at up to 30 fps. This means you get excellent forensic images with high pixel density that s perfect for analytics or third-party facial recognition software. Including a Canon lens with focal length of 12 48 mm and great wide-angle views with a horizontal field of view of 90 deg, it also offers 4x zoom and electronic image stabilization (EIS) for stable video despite vibration. AxIS Q1798-LE is ideal for surveillance in wide, open areas for instance at airports, harbors and sports stadiums.
Huge savings on storage and bandwidth
Thanks to Lightfinder 2.0, AxIS Q1798-LE captures images with more realistic and saturated colors and sharper images of moving objects. Even the darkest areas of the scene will be lighter and more colorful. And with Zipstream enhanced with support for H.264 and H.265 it lowers bandwidth and storage requirements like never before. Even at night, when images contain a high level of noise, this one-of-a-kind 4K camera only requires the same bandwidth and storage as regular 1080p cameras. In other words, AxIS Q1798-LE gives you high resolution images, low bandwidth requirements and unprecedented savings.
Anytime and anywhere
With IP66, IP67and IK10 ratings, this camera handles temperatures ranging from -40 degC to 60 degC (-40 degF to 140 degF). Signed firmware and secure boot ensures only authorized firmware is installed and that the firmware hasn't been compromised. And there's no need for extra lighting thanks to AxIS OptimizedIR enabling detection in dark scenes for up to 50 m (164 ft) or more. AxIS Q1798-LE includes support for video with sound as well as scene profiles, shock detection, corridor format with auto-rotation and barrel distortion correction for always-great image quality.
It even comes with I/O ports for connecting external devices and supervised inputs to notify you if the connection is cut. And if there's a power outage, redundant DC power and PoE help ensure a reliable power supply to safeguard the system.

| International Protection (IP) code The IP code classifies and rates the degree of protection provided against the intrusion (including body parts such as hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact, and water by mechanical casings and electrical enclosures. It is published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The digits (characteristic numerals) indicate conformity with the conditions summarized in the tables below. Where there is no protection rating with regard to one of the criteria, the digit is replaced with the letter X. an electrical socket rated IP22 is protected against insertion of fingers and will not be damaged or become unsafe during a specified test in which it is exposed to vertically or nearly vertically dripping water. Another example is the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, one of the first cellular phones to be IP-rated; it is rated at IP58 and marketed as "dust resistant" and can be "immersed in 1.5 meter of freshwater for up to 30 minutes". | IP67 |
| IK code | IK10 |
| Camera | |
| Minimum illumination Also known as light sensitivity, this is the smallest amount of light needed for the camera to produce an image of useable quality. | 0.006 lx |
| Viewing angle, horizontal Maximum horizontal angle at which a display can be viewed with acceptable visual performance. | 90° |
| Viewing angle, vertical Maximum vertical angle at which a display can be viewed with acceptable visual performance. | 49° |
| Camera shutter speed Determines the length of time the shutter lets light pass through the lens to the CCD. Shutter speed and aperture together determine exposure. | 1/45500 - 2 s |
| Image sensor | |
| Number of sensors | 1 |
| Optical sensor size Optical sensors are electronic detectors that convert light, or a change in light, into an electronic signal. They are used in many industrial and consumer applications e.g. lamps that turn on automatically in response to darkness. Optical sensors come in many sizes. | 101.6 / 3 mm (4 / 3") |
| Sensor type A sensor is a convertor than measures a physical quality (light, temperature etc.) and displays this electronically on a device. | CMOS |
| Lens system | |
| Optical zoom Indicates the optical zoom capacity, which is the number of times that the picture can be enlarged with the optics of the camera. | 4x |
| Number of lenses The number of lenses installed in the device. | 1 |
| Auto focus Device focusing a camera or other piece of equipment automatically. |
|
| Maximum aperture number | 1.7 |
| Minimum aperture number The minimum size of the hole through which light enters a camera. | 4 |
| Focal length range Measure of how strongly the system converges or diverges light. For an optical system in air, it is the distance over which initially collimated rays are brought to a focus. A system with a shorter focal length has greater optical power than one with a long focal length; that is, it bends the rays more strongly, bringing them to a focus in a shorter distance. For an optical system in air, the effective focal length (f and f′) gives the distance from the front and rear principal planes (H and H′) to the corresponding focal points (F and F′). | 12 - 48 mm |
| Video | |
| Maximum resolution The maximum number of pixels that can be displayed in the image. It is usually quoted as width × height,: for example, "1024 × 768" means the width is 1024 pixels and the height is 768 pixels. | 3712 x 2784 pixels |
| Total megapixels A megapixel (MP or Mpx) is one million pixels, and is a term used not only for the number of pixels in an image, but also to express the number of image sensor elements of digital cameras or the number of display elements of digital displays. For example, a camera that makes a 2048 × 1536 pixel image typically uses a few extra rows and columns of sensor elements and is commonly said to have "3.2 megapixels" or "3.4 megapixels", depending on whether the number reported is the "effective" or the "total" pixel count (as opposed to the 2048 × 1536 = 3,145,728 finished image pixels). | 10 MP |
| Video compression formats | AVC,H.264,H.265,HEVC,M-JPEG,MPEG4 |
| Supported graphics resolutions The graphic resolutions that can be displayed by the device. The graphic resolution describes the width and height dimensions of a display, such as a computer monitor, measured in pixels. | 3840 x 2160 |

| Supported network protocols Network protocols tested as compatible with this product e.g. FTP,HTML, POP. | IPv4, IPv6 USGv6, HTTP, HTTPSa , SSL/TLSa , QoS Layer 3 DiffServ, FTP, SFTP, CIFS/SMB, SMTP, Bonjour, UPnP® , SNMP v1/v2c/v3 (MIB-II), DNS, DynDNS, NTP, RTSP, RTP, SRTP, TCP, UDP, IGMP, RTCP, ICMP, DHCP, ARP, SOCKS, SSH, LLDP |
| Wi-Fi Popular technology that allows an electronic device to exchange data or connect to the internet wirelessly using radio waves. |
|
| Bluetooth Bluetooth is a low-power radio technology developed to replace the cables and wires currently used to link or connect electronic devices such as personal computers, printers, and a wide variety of handheld devices including mobile phones. Because it uses radio-wave connectivity, a Bluetooth-enabled device has a constant, established connection to whatever browser it uses. This saves the user the trouble of logging on to check for emails or news updates, for example. |
|
| Quality of Service (QoS) support |
|
| Storage | |
