It has day/night functionality with an automatically removable infrared-cut filter. And, with autofocus capabilities, you can quickly zoom in on areas of interest. Thanks to polygonal privacy masking, it s possible to pixelate whole areas where privacy must be kept, such as a neighboring property. Plus, click in picture functionality allows you to click directly in the picture to define the central position of the selected camera. Furthermore, Zipstream with support for H.264 and H.265 significantly reduces bandwidth and storage requirements.

Cost-efficient and easy to install
With AXIS M5000, you get the benefits of four cameras, while installing just one. So, there s only one camera to install, one cable to run, one IP address, and one video management software (VMS) license to install. Thanks to edge storage you can record directly to an onboard memory card for easy installation and maintenance. Designed to blend in seamlessly with any environment, a black dome is also available as an accessory. Furthermore, Axis Edge Vault protects your Axis device ID and simplifies authorization of Axis devices on your network.

PTZ control
Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)
Day/night mode
Design
Form factor The shape or design of the product. Bulb
Mounting type Type of mounting e.g. wall mounting. Ceiling
Product colour The colour e.g. red, blue, green, black, white. Black, White
International Protection (IP) code The IP code classifies and rates the degree of protection provided against the intrusion (including body parts such as hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact, and water by mechanical casings and electrical enclosures. It is published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The digits (characteristic numerals) indicate conformity with the conditions summarized in the tables below. Where there is no protection rating with regard to one of the criteria, the digit is replaced with the letter X. an electrical socket rated IP22 is protected against insertion of fingers and will not be damaged or become unsafe during a specified test in which it is exposed to vertically or nearly vertically dripping water. Another example is the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, one of the first cellular phones to be IP-rated; it is rated at IP58 and marketed as "dust resistant" and can be "immersed in 1.5 meter of freshwater for up to 30 minutes". IP51
Camera
Camera tilt control
Minimum illumination Also known as light sensitivity, this is the smallest amount of light needed for the camera to produce an image of useable quality. 0.01 lx
Lens viewing angle, horizontal 61.8°
Lens viewing angle, vertical 36.3°
Tilt angle range 0 - 180°
Pan range 0 - 360°
Image sensor
Optical sensor size Optical sensors are electronic detectors that convert light, or a change in light, into an electronic signal. They are used in many industrial and consumer applications e.g. lamps that turn on automatically in response to darkness. Optical sensors come in many sizes. 25.4 / 2.8 mm (1 / 2.8")
Sensor type A sensor is a convertor than measures a physical quality (light, temperature etc.) and displays this electronically on a device. CMOS
Lens system
Zoom capability The amount that the camera lens can zoom.
Optical zoom Indicates the optical zoom capacity, which is the number of times that the picture can be enlarged with the optics of the camera. 10x
Digital zoom Indicates the digital zoom capacity, the number of times that the picture is enlarged thanks to digital technology. 12x
Maximum aperture number 3
Minimum aperture number The minimum size of the hole through which light enters a camera. 1.6
Focal length range Measure of how strongly the system converges or diverges light. For an optical system in air, it is the distance over which initially collimated rays are brought to a focus. A system with a shorter focal length has greater optical power than one with a long focal length; that is, it bends the rays more strongly, bringing them to a focus in a shorter distance. For an optical system in air, the effective focal length (f and f′) gives the distance from the front and rear principal planes (H and H′) to the corresponding focal points (F and F′). 4.7 - 47 mm
Night vision
Night vision Night vision is technology which allows you to see in low light conditions.
Video
Maximum resolution The maximum number of pixels that can be displayed in the image. It is usually quoted as width × height,: for example, "1024 × 768" means the width is 1024 pixels and the height is 768 pixels. 1920 x 1080 pixels
Total megapixels A megapixel (MP or Mpx) is one million pixels, and is a term used not only for the number of pixels in an image, but also to express the number of image sensor elements of digital cameras or the number of display elements of digital displays. For example, a camera that makes a 2048 × 1536 pixel image typically uses a few extra rows and columns of sensor elements and is commonly said to have "3.2 megapixels" or "3.4 megapixels", depending on whether the number reported is the "effective" or the "total" pixel count (as opposed to the 2048 × 1536 = 3,145,728 finished image pixels). 15 MP
Video formats supported The type of video formats that can be used by this device. H.264, H.265
Video compression formats H.264, H.265
Audio
Audio system System used to play music or speech. 2-way
Audio detection
Network
Networking standards The way in which the network is working, e.g. IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g. IEEE 802.1x
Security
Video motion detection
HTTPS encryption
Power
Power source type What the power source is. DC, PoE
Power consumption (typical) Amount of power consumed by this model, often expressed in watts (W). Typical values that manufacturers give are power consumption when off, standby/suspended mode, typical use, maximum usage. 6.5 W
Power consumption (max) The maximum amount of power used by the device. 13 W
Power consumption (Power over Ethernet (PoE)) 7.4 W
DC output voltage 24, 28
