ATH-CC500BT2 Wireless Cartilage Conduction Headphones
The ATH-CC500BT2 is the second generation of the ATH-CC500BT, the world's first* cartilage conduction headphones. Popular since their initial release in 2022, these headphones leave your ears open so you're also able to engage with the sounds around you. A number of changes have been made to improve the listening experience, including improved comfort, sound quality, and maximum sound volume.

With the new model, you can enjoy your favourite music and audiobooks with great sound while working around the house, in the office, or at the shop, during walks, or when spending time outdoors. Using Audio-Technica's Connect app, you can select Clear Voice from the equalizer menu to make dialogue and narration easier to hear. Call performance has also been improved, resulting in clearer, more natural voice quality. And, based on a review of the weight balance and comfort, the design has been modified to be less tiring to wear for long periods compared to the previous model.

The ATH-CC500BT2 is the next generation of cartilage conduction headphones, combining better sound quality and comfort for everyday use. They are a reliable and comfortable companion throughout your day.

Ear coupling Ear coupling describes the way in which headphones or earphones stay attached to, or inside, the ear. There are three common types of ear coupling: circumaural, supra-aural and intra-aural. Circumaural headphones enclose your ears with large pads that suppress external noise. Supra-aural headphones are typically more lightweight and sit on top of the ears with small pads. Intra-aural headphones come in two basic designs and neither style sits on the head itself. The first are ear buds, which sit just outside of the ear canal, on top of your ear lobes. The second type is actually inserted directly into the ear canal and offers some external noise suppression.
