ASUS ROG -STRIX-RTX4080S-16G-WHITE, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, 16 GB, GDDR6X, 256 bit, 7680 x 4320 pixels, PCI Express 4.0
WITH THE INCREDIBLE SUM OF ITS PARTS
The ROG Strix GeForce RTX™ 4080 SUPER brings a whole new meaning to going with the flow.
Inside and out, every element of the card gives the monstrous GPU headroom to breathe freely and achieve ultimate performance.
The unleashed reign of the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture is here.
Axial-tech Upgrades
A Fresh Spin
Bigger and better. Axial-tech fans spin on dual-ball bearings and have been scaled up to propel 23% more air through the card, setting the stage for lower temperatures, less noise, and higher performance.
Reverse Rotation and 0dB Technology
Orchestrated Chill
The two side fans spin counterclockwise to minimize turbulence and maximize air dispersion through the heatsink. All three fans come to a standstill when GPU temps are below 50 Celsius, letting you play less-demanding games or perform light tasks in relative silence. Fans start up again when temps are over 55DegC, referencing a speed curve that balances performance and acoustics for work or play.
3.5-slot Design
Through Thick and Fin
The custom sink is generously sized and structured to soak up heat from the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER GPU so that it can be efficiently whisked away by the three Axial-tech fans.
Patented Vapor Chamber
Phase Changer
A vapor chamber featuring milled pathways lets the heatpipes sink in without being pressed flat, allowing heat to be carried more efficiently to the fin stack. In comparison to conventional vapor chamber and heatpipe combos, this potent pairing reduces GPU temperature by up to 5 Celsius when subjected to a 500W thermal load.
Premium Power Delivery
1st Responder
Digital power control, an array of high-current power stages, and a lineup of 15K caps ensure massive reserves to reliably push performance boundaries.
Compact PCB
Packs a Punch
Component and trace layouts have been optimized onto a short PCB to reduce power losses and let heat escape through a massive backplate vent.
Metal Exoskeleton
Ultra-rigid
A high-quality diecast frame, shroud, and backplate tightly brace the PCB and strategically steer airflow.
GO WITH THE FLOW
It all comes together to effortlessly drive GeForce RTX™ 4080 SUPER performance to the max.
FanConnect II
Hook up
Two PWM FanConnect headers provide additional DIY flexibility. Chassis fans can be directly attached to the card and tuned with a curve that is based on CPU and GPU temperatures, delivering extra intake or exhaust for demanding 3D tasks.
Reinforcements
Additional Perks
A GPU bracket provides extra stability to the critical connection between die and heat spreader. The rear I/O bracket is made from stainless steel to prevent corrosion in humid climates and provide a more resilient mount. A conveniently placed Dual Bios switch allows quick selection between performance" and quiet" speed profiles for the Axial-tech fans.
Power Sensing
Quick Diagnosis
Know if your PSU is worthy. ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER graphics cards feature a high-speed circuit that constantly monitors input power from the PSU and utilizes conveniently placed LEDs to indicate voltage regulation issues and cable connection problems.
Auto-Extreme Technology
Reliability Boost
Auto-Extreme Technology is an automated manufacturing process that sets new standards in the industry by allowing all soldering to be completed in a single pass. This reduces thermal strain on components and avoids the use of harsh cleaning chemicals, resulting in less environmental impact, lower manufacturing power consumption, and a more reliable product overall.
Aura Sync
Symphony of Light
Aura-compatible ARGB lighting elements on the shroud and rightmost perimeter of the card provide endless possibilities for personalization with color or functional effects. Pair up with a vast range of compatible system components and coordinate the glow to create a build that

| Processor | |
| CUDA CUDA (aka Compute Unified Device Architecture) is a parallel computing platform and programming model created by NVIDIA and implemented by the graphics processing units (GPUs) that they produce. CUDA gives program developers direct access to the virtual instruction set and memory of the parallel computational elements in CUDA GPUs. |
|
| CUDA cores | 10420 |
| Graphics processor family The category to which the graphics processor (GPU) belongs e.g. Southern Islands family of Radeon processors (made by AMD), GeForce 600 (made by NVIDIA). | NVIDIA |
| Graphics processor Also known as a graphics processing unit (GPU), this is a specialized electronic circuit designed to rapidly manipulate and alter memory to accelerate the creation of images in a frame buffer intended for output to a display. GPUs are used in embedded systems, mobile phones, personal computers, workstations, and game consoles. Modern GPUs are very efficient at manipulating computer graphics. | GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER |
| Processor boost clock speed | 2550 MHz |
| Processor frequency (OC mode) | 2580 MHz |
| Maximum resolution The maximum number of pixels that can be displayed in the image. It is usually quoted as width × height,: for example, "1024 × 768" means the width is 1024 pixels and the height is 768 pixels. | 7680 x 4320 pixels |
| Parallel processing technology support Parallel processing technology is the simultaneous use of more than one CPU or processor core to execute a program or multiple computational threads. Ideally, parallel processing makes programs run faster because there are more engines (CPUs or Cores) running it. In practice, it is often difficult to divide a program in such a way that separate CPUs or cores can execute different portions without interfering with each other. Most computers have just one CPU, but some models have several, and multi-core processor chips are becoming the norm. There are even computers with thousands of CPUs. | Not supported |
| Maximum displays per videocard | 4 |
| Memory | |
| Discrete graphics card memory | 16 GB |
| Graphics card memory type The type of memory used by the video card. Often a combination of dedicated memory (Video RAM or VRAM) and dynamic system memory is used. UMA stands for Unified Memory Architecture, and is a computer memory architecture that allows the graphics processing unit to share system memory. Other abreviations: RAM = Random Access Memory, SDRAM = synchronous dynamic RAM, DDR = double-data-rate. | GDDR6X |
| Memory bus Hardware and software that connects the main memory to the memory controller in computer systems. Originally, general-purpose buses like VMEbus and the S-100 bus were used, but to reduce latency, modern memory buses are designed to connect directly to DRAM chips, and thus are designed by chip standards bodies such as JEDEC. | 256 bit |
